Kettering Education Foundation to Host Second-Annual Benefit Concert

The Kettering Education Foundation Suggest you Take Mom to the Beach for Mothers Day!

Special Mothers Day Concert Featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Artists The Beach Boys

Kettering, OH – Don’t know what to get mom for mothers day? Is she tired of the same old jewelry and flowers? How about taking mom to the beach for Mother’s Day this year?

The Kettering Education Foundation is proud to present Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Artist’s The Beach Boys for a very special Mothers Day Concert on Sunday May 13, 2007 at 3:00pm. What better way to show mom how much she means to you then taking her to what is sure to be one of the hottest concerts of the year.

The Beach Boys need no introduction and are one of the world’s most famous bands, having sold over 100-million albums since their founding in 1961. They are known the world over for their fun, summertime songs and catchy harmonization’s. Even more then the Beatles, The Beach Boys found through their music the key to unfading youth – and they made copies for everyone. To these guys, the beach isn’t just a place where the surf comes to play – it’s where life is renewed and made whole again.

In their forty-five year career they have released fifty-two albums and charted Thirty-six U.S. Top 40 hits, including four #1 singles. They have become one of the most cherished bands in US Rock and Roll history and their song “Good Vibrations” was voted the song of the century by Rolling Stone Magazine.

Last years benefit concert featured Grammy Award winning artist LeAnn Rimes, and was the grand opening concert for the newly completed James S. Trent Arena. The concert was well attended with a near sell-out crowd. The event and venue received good reviews, and the foundation decided to make this an annual event. “We were very pleased with the results from the first concert.” States Matt L. Wahrhaftig – Executive Director of the Kettering Education Foundation and General Manager of the Trent Arena, “For this year we built on the success of last year and with the addition of The Beach Boys the concert will provide the foundation with a great, and ultimately more profitable event.”

Opening Act Eleventh Hour and the Fairmont Jazz Quartet
