Flyin’ to the Hoop Announces It’s Schedule for the First Year at the Trent Arena Dayton, OH –September 2007 – All systems are a go as The Flyin' To The Hoop Men's Basketball Invitational prepares to take flight again this January as the event will celebrate it's 6th-year and first time at the Trent Arena (www.trentarena.com). Again, from a talent perspective, this year’s field has more talent that any other event of its’ kind in the tri-state area. Over 30 projected Division I players will be participating in the event – including Ohio State bound, BJ Mullens - a 7’ senior that is ranked as the #1 center in the country and the 4th best player overall. This year's event is loaded with talent from Ohio and 8 additional states (NY, SC, MS, TN, TX, MO, NV and CA). Flyin' To The Hoop will again take place over the Martin Luther King Holiday weekend (January 19 - 21, 2008) at the Trent Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The event, founded by Eric Horstman in 2003, is an in-season prep basketball showcase held every Martin Luther King weekend in Dayton, OH. Over that time, the tournament has had over 100+ players move on to play Division I college basketball and features 7 players in the NBA.
