The Kettering Education Foundation Presents LeAnn Rimes

opening act Eleventh Hour to support the Kettering Education Foundation.

Dayton, OH, January 10, 2006 – The Kettering Education Foundation proudly presents LeAnn Rimes live for the Grand Opening Concert at the James S. Trent Arena on Sunday April 30th at 7pm.

For more then 9 years LeAnn Rimes has excited audiences the world over with her powerful vocals and breathtaking range. LeAnn First burst onto the country music scene with her 1996 six-time platinum hit "Blue". Since that auspicious start Rimes has won numerous awards including Grammies for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal.

Born in Mississippi, but raised in Texas, LeAnn was steeped in country music from the tender age of 2. She gained notoriety for her singing voice at a very early age and released her first single "Blue" when she was just thirteen. LeAnn’s biggest hit to date was the crossover song "How Do I Live" which, according to Billboard charts is one of the most successful songs in American music history.

LeAnn has won an American Music Award, two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, and four Billboard Music Awards. She has also appeared in movies (Coyote Ugly) and in 2005 was selected to become the host of the USA Network reality TV series Nashville Star.

Eleventh Hour is a select ensemble comprised of the top students from the Fairmont High School music department. Conceived in 2001, the group evolved from a small chamber group to a pop/a cappella band. In their five-year existence, they have performed at Wright State University’s Holiday in the Heartland as well as Dayton’s Grand Illumination and Kettering’s Mayoral Tree Lighting. Recently they have performed with Tiffin University’s Up in the Air and Internationally-renowned a capella group m-pact.

In December, Eleventh Hour learned that it had been selected as one of only six a capella groups from across Ohio to compete at the state-level National Championship High School A Capella Competition to be held in Columbus in February. Eleventh Hour is directed by Brody McDonald, director of choirs at Fairmont High School.
